On the road to find out (life after 60!)

If I thought I was going to live this long….

Max and Rocky

Ok.. Believe it or not, there are interesting things going on in my life.. and documenting them just never rises to the level of prioritization needed to do it. New Year’s resolution.. try to do better!

Especially noteworthy after “coming back from the dead” myself.  I got some kind of H1N1 variant while in North Carolina and barely made it home from the airport without passing out.  Went to bed around 5pm and did not move until 2 or 3 pm Friday, and that only for water, drugs, and bathroom break.  Fever was 102 and it finally broke Saturday around noon.  Really nasty!

Been lounging around all day today, and Easter dinner got moved to the neighbors house to save them from me…  needless to say, hope your Easter Sunday has been better.  I did get to lay in the sun and pick up some UV rays, which was very pleasant, especially since it is the first time in 6 months or so!

So, enjoy your day.. Christ is risen, He is risen indeed!

Is this another getting older thing? 2 in the morning and still awake messing with this site! Got an early flight out tomorrow, so will probably sleep on plane for a bit, but jeez!

Then, first night in a hotel room is always crappy for sleeping, hope I can stay awake for 2 days of meetings. Nothing like nodding off in the middle of a round table to impress folks!

Welcome!

Who knew?  I will be 59 in December.. not ”old” by today’s standards, but if you check with my 16 year old son and his friends…

Starting to feel some of the effects, aches, grey hair, cheaters, etc.  But, what is worse is looking into a mirror across the room and wondering who the old bastard is.

This blog will just be some of the thoughts and ramblings, pictures and events, and trials and tribulations of the AARP years!

Thanks.
